Introducing the Healthy Eyes Programme for Disposable Soft Contact Lens Wearers.
It is of paramount importance that each disposable soft contact lens wearer is professionally
assessed prior to being dispensed with their lenses. This requires a comprehensive
examination to establish suitability and ocular health by an Optometrist.
With long term disposable contact lens wear it is extremely important to repeatedly
check the ocular health of the eye and specifically the corneas.
To qualify for the Healthy Eyes Programme - disposable soft contact lens wearers must
have their corneas examined at 6 month intervals to ensure that the wearing of their
contact lenses is in no way interfering with the health of their corneas.
To make it both affordable and possible for Spec-Savers contact lens wearers to
protect their corneas properly through subscribing to this Professional Gold Standard
of care, we have adjusted the box price of our contact lenses to more than compensate
paying for the 6 monthly corneal examinations.
