  • R 5,010.00 per family, subject to prescribed cycles. Ophthalmologist consultation subject to Referral from Optometrist.
  • Sub-limit of R 2,110.00 per beneficiary, per annum
  • Exclusions apply, including but not limited to repairs. Spectacle lenses and contact lenses cannot be obtained simultaneously

Frames

 

 

 

 

  • Receive up R 840.00 per beneficiary. 

 

 

 

 

Lenses

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • White lenses: 100% of the lower of cost or Optical Assistant Tariff.
  • Photochromic lenses: 100% of the lower of cost or Optical Assistant Tariff, up to a maximum of R 330.00 per pair and subject to a prescription of +0.50/-0.50 and above.

Contact Lenses

 

 

 

  • Contact lenses with a prescription reading of -0.75 or +1.00 and above: 100% of the lower of costs or Optical Assistant Tariff up to a maximum of R 2,070.00 per beneficiary, subject to a two year cycle.
 
Eye Tests
