Your skin is the largest organ of your body, and it too dries as we age.  Daily hydration both in and on the body is key for a body that looks and feels healthy.

Drinking water to re-hydrate cells and flush toxins is essential. Drink between 2-3 litres each day to ensure your body stays well hydrated.

Quick Tip: Get into a habit of taking a water bottle to work or always start your day with water.

Hydrate your body externally with body moisturises or oils daily.

Quick Tip: Enjoy re-hydrating while soaking in an oil and herbal infused bath.

Let’s get things straight!

For aerobic exercise try:

Swimming

Cycling

As one ages muscle mass is lost. This involuntary loss of muscle mass, strength, and function, slowly starts at the age of 30 and increases at the age of 60.

Quick Tip: To slow down the effects of muscle loss add some form of weight resistance training to your weekly routine.  This is done by using weights or resistance bands.

There is no doubt that adding exercise to your weekly planner will improve your life now and for the years to come.

Protect yourself from the sun

Sunscreen is a big deal as it protects your skin from the free-radical damage that naturally occurs from the sun’s UV radiation. This damage leads to collagen breakdown, sagging skin and wrinkles.

Quick Tip:  Make sure to wear sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day, even on cloudy days.

Beauty sleep is a real thing

Your body needs good sleep to rejuvenate and repair your body’s cells overnight. Your natural collagen production also increases when you sleep, preventing sagging and increasing blood flow. This adds up you to you looking better when you are well rested.

Be sure to get between 7-9 hours of solid sleep per night to allow your cells to rejuvenate.

Quick Tip: Set yourself an adult bedtime to regularly get enough good sleep.
