Hard Coat

Hard Coat is a clear, scratch-resistant coating that substantially reduces the risk of damage to lenses when mishandled or dropped. It is a silicon dip coating process applied to the front and back surfaces of the lens. Hard Coating provides your prescription lens with protection against abrasion and scratching to ensure longer, trouble free performance. All Hard coated lenses provided by your optician is 100% Ultra Violet Protection (UVP).
It is particularly good for children or people who are tough with their spectacles!

UV Coat

Just as sunscreen keeps the sun's UV rays from harming your skin, UV Coat is a protective treatment for lenses that stops sun rays from damaging your eyes. This coating can help to reduce the risk of cataracts, retinal damage and other eye problems through overexposure to ultraviolet light. Regular lenses block most UV light, but adding a UV-blocking dye like UV Coat boosts UV protection up to 100% for added safety.
