Berry Beetroot Smoothie


·       1 Beetroot

·       1 Banana Frozen

·       1 1/2 Cups Berries I used frozen raspberries and strawberrie

·       1 Cup Almond Milk Add a little extra if you prefer a runnier smoothie

·       1/4 Cup Rolled Oat

·       1 tsp Maple Syrup/Honey

·       1 Cup Ice

1.               Place all the ingredients into a blender

2.               Blend until smoothie

3.               Garnish with fresh mint and berrie

Healthy Ingredients

Beetroot is a great vegetable for eye health and is a rich antioxidant.  Beets are a fantastic source of beta-carotene, folate, manganese, potassium, vitamin c and iron. The greens of the raw beet contains Lutein and Zeaxanthin, which are highly beneficial to the eye, as it may prevent cataracts and has been shown to reduce the risk of macular degeneration.
