Broccoli Salad

Broccoli Salad


First, you will need to make the broccoli salad dressing. Combine the following ingredients together, mix, and set to the side. 

  • 1 cup Mayonnaise 
  • 4 Tbs white sugar
  • 3 Tbs white vinegar 

Next, combine the following ingredients in a bowl

  • 5 cups of chopped up broccoli 
  • 1/2 med red onion chopped into small piece
  • 8 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled 
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of broccoli slaw
  • Optional extras – sunflower seeds, raisins / cranberries (1/2 cup of each)

Mix all of these ingredients together and pour dressing over top and mix all together. Now you have a sweet and creamy Broccoli salad that has the perfect amount of crunchiness. It’s pure deliciousness!

Broccoli is rich in beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body.

But it’s not only vitamin A that has this beneficial effect for the eyes, as broccoli also contains phosphorus, B vitamins, and vitamins C and E, all of which have been proven to have a positive impact on eyesight.
